Prestwich FC Thunder 3 vs 2 West Coast Sports U14 Jagu

A real team performance this morning from the lads to beat good opposition in the form of Weat Coast Sports. The lads started strongly and despite the poor Heaton Park surface worked the ball well, offered at every opportunity and as planned looked to bring our wingers into the games as much as we could. It didn’t take long before that plan paid off, a switch of play brought the ball out wide to Ben on the left and off he went to deliver a peach off a ball into the box for Hashim to header us into the lead. The quality of the cross and header were bothe fantastic ???? We continued in the same vain for most of the first half and we were worthy of our half time lead 0-2 after Josh found himself in the right place at the right time to double our lead. In the second half a great piece of footwork and finish from Dayne put us in a commanding position before West Coast came back at us with 2 goals in the last 12 minutes to make it a nervy ending but the lads managed the game out well to put themselves in the hat for R2. Lots of rotation and minutes for the lads to get involved too. MOTM Zaki - Superb debut, commanded his area well, great ball distribution and a leading voice for our defence all game ???? Well done Thunder ??????????
