CPR Raiders 1 vs 0 Panthers

One nil a fair result based on the possession and opportunities for
both teams. We were often on the back foot and relied on scraps to
create chances...

Delayed kickoff due to pitch frozen but started to soften with 30 min
delay. However, pitch dictated the first half as the ball flicked up
with random bounces. we tried to pass the ball on it before ko and it
was really tricky to get ball under control. Players needed more time
and space to get ball under control and there was little to be had.
Goal conceded after striker fell over and free kick given. Good strike
for 1 - 0 lead...scarely a pass insight in the first half with little
movement off the ball and very few players looking to receive the
ball...RE pulled off a great save in first half..

Second half was a little better with a little more intensity but still
the quality and the desire to receive the ball under pressure was
missing. We never looked like equalising and I didn't really recognise
the team representing Panthers..

Team didn't really turn up today, but not surprising given the circumstances. Boys all fit and well afterwards...
