MEFF #111 saw Adam's Cold Fuzz take on Vaughan's Cardiff Redbirds in another classic friendly. Adam opened the scoring with a sublime Captain's half-volley from Griffiths' cross, before Ashley prodded home an equaliser as he watched Matt's throw drop over his shoulder. Despite this setback the Fuzz took control and Rowan Staszkiewicz combined twice with his captain to shoot his team into a half time lead.
In traditional style, the game opened up in the second half but goals were hard to come by, with Joe in particular defending well. Pedro volleyed home from the edge of the area to extend the Fuzz's lead, before Fletcher responded by finally bundling home a header from Dan's corner to give the Redbirds hope. However, a virtuoso performance by Griffiths in goal knocked the stuffing out of the Redbirds as his toes denied Deano, Patto, Matt and Dan on numerous occasions, before Allaway sealed the win by tapping home into an empty work following more good work from Browner.
