MEFF #109: An interesting friendly saw Croz's Twiglet Terrors win 3-2 against's Patto's Butter Beans. Brett Tooby opened the scoring for the eventual winners when he smashed a close free kick into the top left corner over Fletch's ducking head, before the Bean's immediately responded when Spence finished off a great move from the back with a deflected shot that smashed in off the crossbar. Just before half timeAndrew Griffin found Ashley Gareth Vaughan in acres of space on the left and he rammed a shot under SuBo in goal to give the Butter Beans the lead.
The second half was almost all Twiglet as they made the most of tired opposition legs to counter-attack at will and fight back from a goal down. Having seen a long range effort 'superbly' saved on half way, Robert Crozier got his revenge by lobbing Patto minutes later to level the score.Chris Fletcher then finished off a great passing move to give his team the win, although they could and should've taken home a bigger margin had their finishing been better!
MOM for the winners was Fletch, who defended well in the air and seemed to breeze beyond his markers throughout the second half.
