Norwich Soca Seniors Pedes 0 vs 0 NORTH ELMHAM WALKING FOOTB

We were welcomed by our hosts SOCA Seniors at the great FDC venue today for what turned out to be 3 x 30 minute games.

We took a squad of 9 today and started every game with our reliable goalkeeper Paul Carr who only conceded twice across the 3 games.

Some very useful words before the game from Carl who told everyone to play in their best positions which turned out to be good advice.

Match 1 Result 4-0

Tiny Tim and Matt played theLB role between them with Mike making the RB position his own for most of the games. Steve G and John F were causing the opposition lots of problems in Midfield and attack. Our centre forward Gaz turned provider for the first two goals scored by John F and Steve G before scoring 2 of his own.

Match 2 Result 1-1

This was a much tighter game with our other striker Carl scoring a good goal in the first half before a dubious penalty was given against us for encroachment in the box, which was duly scored by SOCA Seniors.

Match 3 Result 8-1

This was a high scoring match with Carl and Gaz scoring 3 a piece with Steve W and Matt chipping in with one a piece. SOCA Seniors did score a great goal from a set piece.

Some top performances amongst the team and it gave a few of the newer players a feel for tournament rules football.
