New Rovers 5 vs 6 CHIYA

Early domination saw several missed chances but a penalty from ANDREA EKUASE, who then set up MOHAMMED ALKHABEER, saw Rovers comfortably 2 up. Chiya, however, got a goal back before the break.

The second half was horrendous, the worst of the season. Weak disorganised defending saw Chiya score FIVE more times before EKUASE netted his second, CAL McGREEVY headed home from a corner and visiting Italian goalkeeper SIMONE CORDONI, by then playing up front, netted from close in late on to get Rovers within a goal of their opponents- but they failed to improve on that.

Defending throughout the team was extremely poor; too many players were either bullied or failed to match their opponents strength and physicality. Along with this was very poor decision making, far too much running with the ball then losing it, failure to maintain shape and poor finishing and passing the buck in the penalty box.

A disgraceful display.
