MSB Woolton U16 Di Stefano Dominate Mags U16 Villa in a 3-0 Cup Victory!

MSB Woolton U16 Di Stefano put on a footballing masterclass, storming to a 3-0 win over Mags U16 Villa in their cup showdown at Leisure United Heron Eccles. From the first whistle to the last, the home side delivered a clinical, commanding performance that left their opponents chasing shadows.

Lining up in a high-energy 4-3-3 formation, Woolton set the tempo early. Jacob F wasted no time opening the scoring in the 10th minute, tapping in a slick assist from Jack W to ignite the crowd. The momentum only grew from there.

By the 25th minute, Woolton doubled their advantage in style. Charlie C found the net with a precision finish from inside the box, capitalising on Max D’s cross which was parried by the keeper into the patch of Charlie. With their defence rock-solid, the home side cruised into half-time firmly in control at 2-0.

Khutso came close to making it 3 before half time when a ball over the top was chased down and taken on the half volley only to trailer off the post.

Mags Villa tried to mount a response after the break, but Woolton’s defensive wall, led by the ever-reliable Jacob M, refused to budge. Then, in the 58th minute, the game was put to bed. Jacob F rose highest to power home a header, once again fed by an inch-perfect cross from Max D who drove with the ball right down the right side of the pitch.

Whilst towards the end of the game play had got a bit sloppy, Christie came rushing on to a clearance and stick one from over 30yrds out but was debited by the post.

The opposition's keeper had a very strong game and managed to stop a quite a few more going on with big saves from shots off Jack T and Jacob M
