Mill Hill Juniors RED 4 vs 4 Barrowford Celtic U9 Black

A terrific advert for grassroots football. End to end game with glimpses of superb football and played in the right spirit. Both sides should be proud.

The Mill Hill boys got off to a slow start going two down but showed great resilience to recover to 2-2 at half time. Harry led the way with some brave, robust but very fair challenges, but also some stylish footwork. Niall was back to his maestro like best and covered so much ground throughout the game. We started the second half positively as Noah B took his goal very well. Barrowford came back into the game and took the lead despite some nice saves from Ossy. Some really good recoveries from Noah H and Zander later on kept us in the game. A late calm finish goal from Bob which was well worked with Niall gave us the 4-4 draw which was well deserved (could’ve been all three points)

Bob was named man of the match, despite his mouth almost costing him a place in the referees book he showed a bit of grit today, battled, got a couple of goals and was unlucky with a strike that rattled the crossbar.
