Mile Oak Football Club 2 vs 1 Rustington

Mile Oak had their 1st game back after pre season break this morning and what a game it was.

Rustington took an early lead as they took advantage of Mile Oaks early lack of concentration, Rustington who came 2nd in the 1st division of the Adur district league continued to create chances with plenty of crosses going into the Mile Oak box, The Oak stayed strong and managed to not concede again.

With a strong bit of luck and high pressure from Mile Oak they forced the Rustington defender to play it back to his keeper who misjudged the pass and put it into his own net to make it 1-1.

With it being 1-1 at half time it was anyone's to play for, then with 15 mins to go Mile Oak won a corner which was swung in by Tyler M to find the Head of Connor Walker to give Mile Oak a massive lead.

With tactical changes in place they held on for the win to give them a great start to pre season.

Each of the boys showed strong character by coming back from a goal down to win the game 2-1.
