Mary Dendy were systematically taken apart by a rampant Boarhound side  who seem to have unearthed another prolific goalscorer in Simon Gibbons enforced absence through suspension. Dave Short scored five of the six goals and was indirectly responsible for the sixth as it was his cross that was inadvertently turned into his own net by James Monaghan.  Dendy were missing several crucial players through injury but they battled hard and Martin Brunker  embodied their fighting spirit . It was his free kick that got Dendy back in the game albeit briefly as his floated ball was  diverted past a stranded Gaz Hughes by Stephen Marshall to make it 1-1

Boarhound were simply too strong  and with players like Jamie Collins and Dave Barrett in such  fine form there’s no reason why they shouldn’t go on to retain their league title .
