A great opportunity for us to play at a ‘proper ground’.

What an experience!!!

The pitch at Marine was the best we’ve played on & suited our style of football.

First half we were a bit timid & didn’t get our passing going & fell 0-1 behind due to a well worked goal.

Second half was a different story. We started strongly & controlled the game through spells of ‘proper Barkhill footy’. This resulted in us deservedly equalising through Harry’s strike from the edge of the area.

After that we continued to push for a second goal & their keeper made a couple of good saves. We fell behind (against the run of play) due to a well taken free kick, but we didn’t allow our heads to drop & continued searching for goals. Our pressure finally resulted in us winning a penalty. Unfortunately for us, their keeper produced a great save & kept them in the lead. A break away 3rd goal sealed their victory, but was a great game between two good sides.

Again, lots of positives to take away from the match & lots to learn.

Thanks for the opportunity to play at Marine FC & hope we can do it again sometime.
