Marshall's Barkhill 5 vs 2 Kingsley United U12 Lions

MATCH REPORT BY COACH DAVE

For the first time at either training or matchdays this season, we had a full squad. Fantastic to welcome back our Charlie after a fractured foot and lovely to see all our boys together at last ??

A lively start to the first half saw Barkhill go 1-0 up through a cross from the right and Anthony coming in at the far post with a poachers finish with his RIGHT FOOT!!!

A few minutes later Kingsley were level, their pacey winger causing problems and getting the goal.

But our boys didn't panic and deservedly regained the lead through a fine long range effort into the bottom corner from Ben Robbo. Ben C then extended our lead moments later with a fine finish after yet another Barkhill attack caused havoc in their penalty area.

Half time 3-1.

Barkhill started the second half in the same positive manner and created some early chances. Then came the moment of the match....Jordan scoring his first goal in a Barkhill shirt ??. A fine through ball saw Jordan pounce with a shot from just outside the box. Although the keeper got something on it, it crept over the line to jubilant scenes from Jordan, our boys and a knee slide from Coach Dave ????

Then a fine cross from the left by Elijah was met first time by Joe steaming through the middle who buried it from 20 yards. Lovely stuff ????

Although Kingsley pulled one back later on, it was a fantastic team performance from Barkhill, with everyone deservedly being awarded MotM. Well in lads ??????
