Magical Vegas cemmented their place at the top of Division 1 with a hard fought victory over (regular) opponents Clocktower.
A tight first half was fairly even with the freezing temperatures and wind playing having a large effect on the rhythm of the play. Vegas didn't play to their potential but had a few half chances created through wingers Paul 'trigz' Reid and Luke Morgan. A debut in goal for 'Ozzy' went well with the keeper looking solid throughour proceedings.
The 2nd half began in the same vein but Vegas worked themseleves into a few more promising positions without really troubling their goalkeeper. After a couple of substitutions the best chance of the game came from good work in the midfield released Shane McNamara (playing in right back after the substitution of Harry Perersen for Jack Bond) to cut the ball across the 6 yard line for Matt loughney to slide in and hit the post via the goalies save, luckily the ball feel to Trigz who buried from a yard out. Vegas then held on with some fantastic defending, especially Nick Loblak and Rob Webber putting bodies on the line to preserve the clean sheet.
A real team performace with a lot of character being displayed and a good team spirit.
