The blacks squad were back in district cup action this weekend against a strong Wigton Moor side in the second round. The pinks had previously never been passed the 1 round in the competition so this was certainly a tough ask.

From the off, the boys played some great football and scored an early goal when liam put Bobby though with a pin point ball, with Bobby unselfishly squaring the ball to Charlie for the tap in.

The second soon followed when Kal played a cross into Jack, who sliced the ball into the net. Wigton Moor refused to lay down and soon halved the deficit with a well worked goal through their centre back to go into the half at 2-1

Wigton came flying out of the traps in the second half, forcing some great saves from Harley. The Wigton press ultimately left gaps at the back which the pinks soon exploited when Kal played a through ball to Jack who smashed the ball home for his second goal of the match. Jack then won the pinks a penalty. the keeper produced an brilliant double save before Alex Buckle powered the ball through the crowd and into the net. After a breather, Liam and Bobby came back on and linked up immediately with Bob setting up Liam for the final goal at the end.

A Superb 5-1 win and a 3rd round against TBC. Some very strong performances throughout the whole squad.
