The blacks squad welcomed top of the table Farsley Celtic Colts this morning in what promised to be a very entertaining clash and both teams didn’t disappoint

Despite only playing once this year, the pinks started well on the front foot against the wind with some great work from Bobby down the right wing to open the scoring

Farsley hit back straight away with a great lobbed finish

From then on the pinks played the best football they have all season and we’re unlucky to go into the break even after Bob smashed the ball against the bar

In the second half, With the wind at their backs, the pinks were relentless going forward and keeping possession in the opposition half. They had chance after chance with Farsley trying to catch them on the counter, but Jack, Alex and Evie were solid at the back and Harley made a few crucial saves.

Jacob battled brilliantly in midfield and Paul was playing some great balls through to Mackenzie and Lucas. Brajan was also unlucky not to get on the score sheet

With the game looking like ending in a draw, Kall picked up the ball and fired a shot passed the keeper for a great win that keeps the pinks title hopes alive

A fantastic effort from everyone today and thanks to Farsley for a great game

Player of the match today was William who put the the team before himself by wanting the team to go on and win rather than come on in a very tight match.

I think is a very self less and fantastic attitude and he stayed on the sideline in the bad weather cheering his team on to a great win
