This game has been quite the topic of conversation over that last few weeks, not only a local derby but a few players from the same school facing off against each other.
From the start Colts applied continual pressure with Colney Youth struggling to get out of there own half. Ziyad and George sniffing out danger when LCY tried to break.
After a period of sustained pressure and run of corners the LCY defence was finally broken. A high lofted cross by Sufyan fell to Oscar who applied a calm finish

LYC had a rare break into our half but a quick long clearance by the Goalkeeper Jonas found Oscar in acres of space to finish easily.

Wave after wave of attacks from the Colts finally paid dividends. Arthur doesn’t get many goals but when he does they are memorable. Receiving a short pass from Cian, Arthur took aim from distance and fired a rocket into the top left corner for his first goal of the season.

A quick fire double from the colts. Henry spotting Cian in space for a well worked short corner. Cian firing a powerful shot into the top of the net from the corner of the box. Cians first goal for the colts and what a memorable one.

With us being 4 up LCY took advantage of the player power play to settle the ship. They saw out the last 6 minutes to half time without conceding any more goals.

After a quick break and the sunshine now out of the Blues eyes they were straight back on the attack despite LCY still having a man advantage.
A through ball from Alby tried to find Elliott, but the out rushing keeper cleared, unfortunately for them it came to Henry who picked his spot from distance and fired into the net.

The coaches reminded the team to pass and work together for the 2nd half, especially with the opposition still having the player power play. Elliott showed great passing and vision in the 2nd half as the blues continue to attack and came close on many occasions.
LCY did have a few attacks of their own but found Jonas in great form between the posts to claim a clean sheet for the day.
