Marshalls Barkhill 4 vs 2 L4 Football Club U16's (FN

Marshalls inflicted a second defeat in a week leaving us with just a single point in the LFC Foundation Friday night league. A well contested first half saw Marshalls take the lead in the 18th minute which resulted in goalkeeper Joe Wilson taking a knock to the knee, thankfully he was able to carry on. Our response was excellent and we created some great opportunities to draw level. The equaliser came just 3 minutes before half time when Paddy done well to win the ball back on the edge of our box and hit and great ball out wide to Gift, his ball over the top found Alex McDonald who struck a terrific shot low and hard past the keeper.

We seemed to loose our way in the second half and Marshalls capitalised on some poor defending to race into a 3-1 lead. Sam O’Neill gave us a lifeline with a great header from a corner but Marshalls scored a 4th on the counter attack to put the game out of reach.

We must get out of this rut quickly and look to get back to winning ways in our next test in The Tuebrook league on Sunday.
