L4 Football Club est 2014 5 vs 1 Kingsthorne

Our impressive start to the new season continued with a 5-1 victory over Kingsthorne. Kaleb Sweeney made his first start of the campaign and despite having to leave the field after an accidental collision in the first half he was able to come back on in the second period to influence the game in his usual way. Charlie Hacking bagged another (perfect!!) hat-trick taking his tally to double figures for the season the first a looping header from a Ben Devlin pinpoint long ball and the second a stunning volley from a Zico Williams corner that had earlier given us the lead when he scored direct from a corner on the left. Hacking also crossed brilliantly for Gift Sibanda to make no mistake with a great header in the 53rd minute. On another day Sibanda could himself have easily grabbed a hat-trick however he well and truly left his shooting boots at home. With 5 minutes to go it was looking like the perfect start to the season as up until that point we had shut out the opposition however a header conceded from a corner on the right proved to be the only downside to what was another terrific performance from the lads who tightened their grip at the top of the table.
