Club Atletico Warriors 4 vs 2 L4 Football Academy

Having faced Atletico Warriors just over 3 weeks ago this was our opportunity to get quick revenge on a side who totally dominated last time out. We started on the front foot and Gift should have opened the scoring when he done great to drive into the box only for his shot to be saved by the keeper, it was a big chance and would have gave us something to hold on too. It was a battling display and we more than match their physicality but couldn't prevent them taking the lead after 15 minutes when their big target man held off Kalu to turn and smash a shot past Harry. Our response was good and we managed to create some good opportunities with both paddy and Jude Carter finding the space for both Gift and Ross to run onto.

We started the 2nd half in the same vain and finally managed to get the breakthrough when Zach done brilliantly to play a great through ball for Ross who held off his marker and finish to level things up. That should have been the springboard for us to go on and take control however we fell a part in a 10 minute spell. Harry at first was slightly hesitant but dived towards the ball beating the striker too it who managed to nick the ball away and finish into the empty net, 2 minutes later a wonder strike deserving of winning any game knock the stuffing out of us and they added a fourth after a great move down the right. Gift was brought down with 3 minutes remaining and Ross scored with a terrific finish from the free kick however time was against us and they held out on what was a very frustrating night. Paddy and Johnny both went off injured and must now recover in time for Sunday's next encounter vs Botanic.
