Fully Rovers 2 vs 1 Kirkstyle Thistle.

Thistle came into today's game with a few changes through injury but were the better side for much of the game.

It took a few minutes to get going but Kirkstyle started to open up their opponents with the pace of Foster upfront causing problems, he had Thistles first chance but his shot was blocked.

Thistle lost O'Keeffe to injury after twenty minutes and the substitution worked well as the rejigged midfield quickly took control.

The chances kept coming for Kirkstyle with man of the match Billy Scott having the next chance but his shot was deflected for a corner.

Foster finally opened the scoring ten minutes before half time when the influential Fisher found Foster at the back post and his cushioned volley went back across the stranded keeper to put Thistle 1-0 up.

Foster was denied his second by his own player when Robertsons corner found McGuinness at the back post his header was blocked and fell to Foster who hit it first time through everyone and bounced back off a Thistle player on the line and out to safety.

McKinley had to be sharp off his line as a ball over the top let in Fully Rovers but the Thistle keeper was quick to mop up the chance.

There was nothing he could do at the equaliser as a ball to the back post caught out the defence and a header brought Fully Rovers level.

Barry Corner almost put his side back into the lead when he won the ball in midfield, nutmegged the opposition captain then fired a shot just over from twenty five yards with the keeper stranded.

Fully Rovers took the lead twenty minutes from time when Thistle gave away a throw in which was taken quickly and caught the defence out when it wasn't cleared they were punished and 2-1 down.

The Thistle players kept pushing and trying to create chances but couldn't break through.

A performance that deserved at least a draw finished with a loss.
