Iwade Herons Rovers 4 vs 2 New Road U7

Today match brought our first win of the season. Iwade dominated the first quarter, have the majority possession of the ball but struggling to find the back of the net. The team went into the second quarter determined to score and they didn’t have to wait with Axl finding the back of the net, taking Rovers into the lead as half time arrived. Shortly into the second half Axl scored again, followed closely by a goal from William and then a fourth from Finley putting us 4 goals ahead. New Road played their Power Play and quickly responded with a goal, followed shortly by a second goal just before the final whistle. They all played well today, working hard as part of a team, passing the ball and crossing into the box on many occasions. Parents player was given to Cooper this week for a solid performance in defence, he was exactly where he needed to be clearing the balls and protecting the goal. Mangers/Coaches player went to William he also gave a solid performance in defence, as well as his time in goal where he made some fantastic saves as well as keeper kicks up the pitch, before finishing the game in midfield and scoring a great goal.
