Iwade Herons Rovers 3 vs 14 Cliff Woods U6

Today’s game was difficult as we faced a tough opposition where bigger, stronger and faster. However, this didn’t stop our Rovers, they took the lead if only for a short time from a cracking free kick by Cooper, where Finley got in the end of it and hit the ball into the back of the net. Cliffe Woods, quickly responded and scored a number of goals in quick succession, however Felix made some amazing saves during this time. Rovers recomposed themselves with some quick attacking play which led to a second goal this time scored by Axl. Half time came and the second half more saw Cliffe Woods scoring more goals. Although the Rovers struggled they never gave up. Well done to Felix for ‘Parents player of the week’ he made some awesome saves both on the floor and in the air and held his position in the goal really well. Also well done to Finley for ‘Managers player of game’ his great footwork saw himself scoring a goal and assisting in the other. He worked hard both in attack but also back in defence when it was needed.
