Faces FC, a team majority made up of PRC's were decked out in the Argentina kit.
We have played them a couple of times before, drawing and also losing to them. However, we set the record straight with a victory this time round.
They took an early lead from a mistake and their forward scored from inside the box. Perhaps we were slow starters as passes were astray and we were not competitng at all.
A luck break from us when pat played in a through ball into the path of Jerome who got brought down in the box and a penalty was given to us and it was duly dispatched by Harold into the bottom left corner. 1-1.
We started to up our game and put pressure on them. One such attack got us an indirect freekick when the goalkeeper handled a backpass in the box. From the resultant freekick, pat touched the ball to benny who blasted it into the middle of a crowded goal line. Incepcion leads 2-1.
A couple of good chances from either side. Jerome could have scored but scuffed a shot with his weaker foot. Their player gambled on a bouncing ball and a defensive mix up between our defenders and keeper let their winger in and he blasted wide from an open net.
A quick break from them down our right and their forward got a boot to a low fast cross and it was into our net and it was all square at 2-2.
Another quick counter from them down the left and from their cross, a sliding SK's failing arm blocked the shot and the Ref pointed to the Penalty spot. However, their striker scuffed a weak shot straight centre and into the grateful arms of Sherman.
We won a free kick near the edge of the halfway line and Benny lofted a floater into the box which Harold directed into the top left corner. Incepcion lead 3-2.
A quick breakaway from us and a couple of quick pinball passes and Colin was in the box with the keeper to beat but his flicked shot off the outside of his boot went wide and we didn't manage to extend our lead.
Final Score: Incepcion wins 3-2.
It could have been a very high scoring game had ourselves and Faces FC managed to finish all our shots on target, looking at the game play and result, we just about edged out a win with what could have been a draw.
