This week game was played at Bedok Green Secondary. Used to be a lucky ground for us as if I can recalled, we rarely lost at this ground. Personally for me, I had quite a good record at this ground. Besides, keeping 3 clean sheets in a row here, I’ve also scored a goal from my goal kick. Good memories.

Our opponent was Apollo FC. Can’t recall we played this team before but there were a few familiar faces from this team.

We started this game quickly trying to take control of the game. Our midfield trio was pressing and hurrying our opponent. However, our defense was a little shaky as Apollo’s striker was quite speedy and skillful as they have been quick to pounce on any loose ball that was not cleared properly from our back four. SK has to make a few good stops to prevent them from taking the early lead. Finally, Apollo scored their first goal at the 15th minutes.

Shortly after conceding our first goal, Richard tested their keeper from outside the box but he saved well. Colin equalized 4 minutes later with a fine assist from Harold. We ended this half 1-3 down as Apollo scored two quick successive goals, the last one courtesy of a penalty after Clarence fouled their striker in the box.

We made some changes in the second half. However, the changes didn’t bring us better control in the game. We conceded again in the 56 minutes. A well taken free kick from our right brought the score to 1-4. I reverted to the staring midfield trio after that goal and we finally began to assert more control.

We won a free kick at the 70 minutes after Harold was fouled on the right of the pitch. Lawrence took the kick and Colin scored from this resulting free kick. He scored his hat trick after a fine pass from Harold. A well-deserved goal after his first was saved by the keeper.  Final score 3-4.

We played our last game for Fluid United and from next week onwards, we will be unveiling our new kits and new team name.

Thank you Fluid United. We will miss you.
