Hurdsfield Vipers 4 vs 1 Holmes Chapel Hurricanes U

A very wet start that soon brightened up this morning, a home league match vs Holmes Chapel.

A slow start saw us conceded after only a minute or two. Not clearing the ball and a close range finish to put us 1 down. We responded very well and pressed forward well. We found a lot of space out wide in the forward areas.

As the half wore on, a handball from a corner resulted in handball and we scored to equalise. Within a few minutes we took the lead Owen playing a 1-2 with Ash and got behind the defender and slotted past the keeper who made a good effort at saving.

Into the 2nd half and we conceded a penalty of our own but Jack tood his ground to keep us 2-1 up. We pressed on and Owen in good space again turned inside and played ot to Ash. He turned the defender and scored in off the post.

We nearly had a 4th when Rory hit a good shot bit a brave block from the defender kept it out. A long clearance from Jack took a bounce, Ash flicked it on and ran onto it, cool slotting home under the keeper.

A really great team effort today. Lots of commitment and drive from the boys. Toby excellent again in midfield, and whole team linked up well getting the ball forward and wide. Solid in defence and brought the ball out well from there with Siddarth carrying well too.
