A comprehensive second half performance from the Lawns delivered their second consecutive 4-0 victory against The Dugout.

With 2 changes from last weeks line up, The Lawns started out a bit cagey with The Dugout looking to play down the left at every opportunity. The Lawns were denied a clear penalty when Jack was taken out by the Dugout keeper, but kept going when Ben Groucutt hit a screamer from 35 yards out which rattled off the post. The Lawns were not to be denied, and minutes later, Jack burst through the defence and was cut down by the keeper to win a penalty, which he duly dispatched into the corner for his first goal for the club. Jack was denied minutes later when his shot rebounded off the post, and the Lawns went in 1-0 at the break with Rich pulling off some great saves to keep it that way.

The second half started off again a bit sloppy and as such, The Dugout created chances and one such lead to a superb goal line clearance from Joe Murphy to keep it 1-0. With 30 minutes to go, Adam T came off the bench and within 2 minutes, he had doubled the Lawns lead with a well taken finish. The Lawns kept pressing and from a great corner from Adam, Jack headed in for his second to make it 3 and Adam rounded off the game with his second in the last minute of normal time to give a deserved 4-0 victory.

Lineup: Rich; Calum, Lewis (c), Joe R, Joe JM; Chris G (Adam T '60), Matt P, Ben Greenough (Gav '75), Cocky; Ben Groucutt; Jack (Josh '83)

Goals: Jack x 2 (1 pen), Adam T x 2

Man Of The Match: Jack Judd - With 2 goals and endless running causing the opposition defence trouble, Jack was a deserving winner. A Special mention as well goes to Adam Tighe, who came off the bench and chipped in with 2 goals and an assist.

Managers thoughts: Another great performance lads that although took us a little while to get going, we kept going and continued the good work of the last couple of weeks. We do need to be a bit more composed in front of goal as we should have scored more today, but 4 goals is nothing to complain about! Lets keep this train a rollin'! UP THE LAWNS
