A disappointing result for The Lawns as they slumped to defeat against a hard pressing and tackling Sussex Coast team. The first half was an open affair with Sussex Coast hitting the bar twice, and debutant Jack going close twice. With five minutes to go, Scott gave Hove the lead with his first goal of the season, after an error from the opposition keeper. Taking the lead in at half time, Lawns appeared to switch off and allowed Sussex to take the lead with 2 goals both corners during a 10 minute period. Lawns answered straight back with Craig scoring with a well taken finish. However Sussex retook the lead after another error from a set piece, and with Calum going close from distance after a barn storming run, Sussex scored a fourth in the dying seconds with the Lawns defence stretched.

Managers thoughts: Ultimately we were let down by some poor organisation at set pieces and an inability to clear the ball, which will need to be worked in the coming weeks. We also need to be more clinical and creative in front of goal. Other than that, we 'll pick ourselves up and on to next week. Up The Lawns!
