LORD NELSON 3 HOVE LAWNS 1The Lawns relinquished their unbeaten run with a disappointing loss to a more determined Lord Nelson.
The Lawns appeared to be a step off the pace in the first half and were unlucky to go behind when a free kick on the edge of the area was whipped in and deflected off Ben G into his own net.
The Lawns tried to get back into the game but found themselves another goal behind with a well taken finish from the Nelson.
The Lawns had a chance to pull a goal back from the penalty spot, but unfortunately, the Nelson keeper saved Jack's penalty.
At the start of the second half, The Lawns started to get back into the game and created chances but just couldn't put the ball in.
Jack had a free kick cleared off the line by a Nelson defender.
The Nelson kept pushing a volleyed finish put them a further goal in front.
Jack scored a consolation goal with an excellent finish but that was all that could be done.
Man Of The Match: Luke - With a hard working and hard tackling effort, Luke was a deserved winner.
