The Lawns suffered their first pre-season loss with a disappointing result against fellow Div 1 competitors Rechaza. Starting in different formation from the past couple of games, Hove started slowly and went behind after 20 mins to a scrambled finish from Rechaza. Hove continued to defend and couldn't fashion any decent chances and went in at the break behind. With a couple of changes at half time, Hove started brighter and their work was rewarded with a well taken goal from Ben Greenough. Hove continued to push and created some more chances with both Ben's going close, with Rich keeping Hove in the game with some excellent saves. However, in the final minutes, Hove were caught out with a through ball and Rechaza scored in the last couple of minutes to take home the honours.

Overall, there were some positives to be taken out of the game, and the Lawns shouldn't feel to disheartened with the loss and Rechaza are certainly a team we can beat. Otherwise, onwards and upwards to the final pre-season game.
