Coventry City Reds 1 vs 1 Haunchwood Vixens

Midweek football always adds to the excitement and the Vixens never fail to deliver.

Starting on the front foot we took the game to Coventry City and were a constant threat to their goal , after numerous chances had gone begging, it was a superb ball from Sacha into Connie that opened the scoring midway through the first half , Coventry created a few chances themselves but a solid defensive display from the girls kept the score 1-0 .

2nd half we started really well again going close on numerous occasions , the midfield 4 of Connie , Izzy , Sapphire and Millie worked tirelessly to try and catch them on the counter , again half a dozen opportunities came our way to kill the game.

With our players having given everything it wasn't long before the quality of Coventry started to show , attack after attack but our girls showed great resilience, until with 10 minutes to go they got through and equalised. The game ended 1-1

Girl of the Game was Connie , she caused our opponents a real problem and its always nice to hear their coaches stressing over how to stop her
