Building on last week’s league win, today we had a convincing win against Redhall Star.

On a heavy pitch the boys took a bit of time to get used to the playing surface and to get up to speed with their usual game.

Finlay Murray opened the scoring with a close range finish from Drew’s corner. Next up Sam Smith struck from distance over the head of Redhall’s keeper to open his scoring account with Haddington. After a couple of close attempts Cameron J scored the goal of the match, a great strike from around 25 yards. Just before half-time Sam added his second and Haddington’s fourth goal, following a superb run and attempt by Tobie.

Into the second half and another slow start by Haddington and a bit of pressure from Redhall meant work for the Haddington defence to maintain a clean sheet.

Finlay added to the score with his second, again from Drews corner.

Tobie completed the scoring for the day with a deft lob following a huge throw in from Matthew.

A good day with 6 goals and a clean sheet. This sets us up, as we look forward to next weeks Scottish Cup tie against Kilwinning Rangers.
