Haddington Athletic Colts 1 vs 4 Loanhead MYFC

A disappointing result and score line in todays game against Loanhead.

A late call off from Finlay meant a re-shuffle to the line up.

The boys started the game well playing their a good passing games but were unable to capitalise on a number of chances. There was one particular outstanding save by Loanhead goalie from a cracking Milo shot. A defensive mistake gave Loanhead the chance to take the lead and go in 1-0 at half-time.

Just before half time Tiyamike took a head knock when accidentally clashing with a Loanhead player and had to go off with suspected concussion. This disrupted the team as another re-shuffle was required.

Loanhead increased their lead shortly after half-time from another defensive error. The Haddington boys heads started to go down and Loanhead added another 2 goals with not a lot of resistance. although only a consolation, Tobie did score the goal of the day with a cracking strike from a direct free kick.

Drew was subbed following a yellow card and then showing petulance and risk of being sent off.

This was a game that we could have easily taken something from but some players attitudes will need to a lot better to gain anything from upcoming games. Loanhead took their chances well and played as a team, which in the end was the big difference.
