Cameron Johnston forgot his boots and they had to be rushed up from Haddington.

A brilliant 3-1 win for Haddington against Cramond under the floodlights of a Friday night rearranged league game.

With a start to the season of 2 draws and a loss it was important for the boys to get their first win in league Div 2.

Before kick off both teams impeccably observed a minutes silence as a mark of

respect of the Queens death.

Haddington opened the scoring when Drew went on a skilful run brilliantly beating Cramonds defenders to calmly slot his shot past their keeper.

Drew’s 2nd goal, a few minutes later, was even better. It was a stunning strike from outside the box, top corner, leaving the goalkeeper no chance. Half-time 0-2.

Cramond were always trying to play a passing game, and use the pace of their forward line, which Haddington countered with a high press.

Cramond managed to get back into the game when a soft free kick was awarded. The resultant strike from the free kick left Mark no chance in goals.

The reaction from our boys was swift when Milo pressurised a Cramond defender into a mistake and took advantage to tuck away his shot to make it 1-3.

A well earned victory and good to make progress up the league table.
