Greenfields Youth U13 Pant 0 vs 6 Grange Athletic Youth U14

A very rusty performance from the 11 players that were available last night, against a strong newly formed Grange FC U14 team.

From start to finish we seemed to be second to the ball, and our passing was not up to its usual standards, with us giving the ball away when we had possession.

Our shape and positioning were exposed time and time again by the opposition, with their long-ball tactics giving our defenders lots of problems. This also left Noah isolated up front, with large gaps forming between the lines, and leaving 1 v 4 on every Greenfields attack.

We had played just 20mins when Jangles went off with a knee injured, leaving us with 10 men to reach the halftime at 2-0 down. The second half saw more injuries/knocks to Emilio and Nayan, which meant that by the end of the game, we had 3 Grange players on our side.

Overall, most of the boys managed to get a full 60 mins in their legs, and as I always say, we move on, and our focus turns quickly to our first league game next Sunday [11th Sept].
