Greenfield Youth FC U14 Pa 4 vs 1 Rushmoor Community Youth U

Great cup tie with a positive result.

Boys attitude was spot on today with every single one of the squad playing a part.

A positive start to the game with a lot of joy down the right flank allowed us to pressure the Rushmoor goal. However the 2 forwards from Rushmoor were always a thret and without Jamie G fantastic goal bound clearance we would of found ourselves 1-0 down.

Emilio them let fly from 25 yards over the keepers head to settle the nerves. The heavens opened and the boys kept trying to play and a cross that was met by Jamie M gave us a two goal cushion at half time.

A change in formation from Rushmoor gave us a different challenge second half and we gave away a penalty for a push to keep Rushmoor in the game.

Noah's goal was very pleasing as it's what we have been practicing at training and Dom finished a good break away goal to seal the victory.

Rushmoor did have their moments and Bennos made 3 great saves one from a point blank header that's was superb.

Rushmoor had a playing sent off for abusing the ref which seems to be getting worse and worse each week.These boys need to respect people and it's one of my biggest bug bares when it happens.

A great win and a real togetherness in the group which was a real positive
