What a game of two halves that was. After the highs of last week we found ourselves 2-0 down against a strong Poole Town sharkes side who dominated us throughout the half. We're first to the ball were aggressive and ultimately deservered the 2-0 scoreline, with some well taken goals. Half time came and the boys needed to compete more and be calmer on the ball.
They came out second half and proved what a competitive side they are. They showed a greater desire and a great team spirit to score 3 goals in a short period of time to turn things around. Will with 2 and Noah with 1. We had chances to add to the score but with some good saves and last ditch tackling the game was on a knife-edge. Poole kept on trying and Benno was on hand to deal with any issues.
Overall we have played better but ultimately we just managed to get over the line which sometimes is part of sport.
Mom goes to Noah for his relentless workrate a well taken goal and great will to win attitude.
Thanks to Les for running the line, Paul for respect, parents for the ongoing support and we go again Tuesday night.
