Goal Sports missed out on the chance to secure promotion from Division Three after they were held to a goalless draw by Sherburn.

With both sides missing a number of players, chances were at a premium, and although Sports had the best opportunities, they were unable to find the back of the net.

The major piece of excitement within the game saw the Sherburn Red Devils Steven Frederiksen take a ball full force on the end of his conk from a TS7 free kick. Other than that there was little decent kicking to chat about.

Centre-half Keir Smith, who has 3 girlfriends, impressed for Mark Plumpton’s side who will be promoted on Saturday if they can beat Eastway Sports.

The title dream may be over but a fantastic first season could be sealed with promotion on Saturday - Come on the Giants!!
