Enfield Celtic 2nds 1 vs 4 Parkceltic Summerhill

Coming into this game Enfield Celtic were on a good run of form with 14 goals from 3 games and only 2 conceded so the lads had high hopes coming into this game.

The lads applied the pressure from the off with a definite penalty shout when Slu zaka was tripped in the box but unfortunately it wasn't given.

The boys kept at it with a stubborn Parkceltic Summerhill defence doing a good job keeping our lads at bay.

Finally the lads thought they broke the deadlock when Charlie got to the ball first and headed the ball in the back of the net but unfortunately the lads didnt get the rub of the green with the decision being a free out as the thought was the keeper got to the ball first. It wasn't to be so the lads moved on with several chances in the first half hitting the bar twice.

Unfortunately just on the stroke of half time, Parkceltic converted a well taken penalty against the run of play after a rare mistake at the back this season for our lads.

The lads continued in the 2nd half as they started applying the pressure for the equaliser but unfortunately another 3 uncharacteristic errors at the back including another penalty cost the lads in this encounter. The Blues got a late Constillation from a well taken free kick from Remi but it was a little to late for any sort of comeback.

It was just one of those off days for the lads, and Parkceltic were deserving winners as they just wanted it more.

The lads have lots to still get after, still being top of the table and a cup fixture against Trim Town 2nds on the horizon this weekend.
