Carrick Rovers 2nds 2 vs 0 Enfield Celtic 2nds

A tough away draw for the lads, the second time we have been drawn away to Carrick this season, The lads were looking to follow 2 consecutives win with another win here. It was always going to be difficult with a lot of regular players missing which resulted in some being played out of their natural positions and the 2nd game in as many days for a few others. Despite this, the team did not give up and held strong for a good sixty minutes. Carrick had the majority of possession but we battled bravely and could very easily have been up at have time had we taken our chances but Jack also made some outstanding saves to keep the scores level at the break. We again had a number of decent chances to take the lead but unfortunately it was one of those days for us. Carrick took the lead shortly after due to us not picking up the number 10 run. They then doubled that lead not long after from a blatant foul that the ref allowed to go unpunished. We didn't give up and still pushed, being denied a blatant penalty which was a very very poor decision and the theme of the game. That being said, there is room for improvement but the team can hold their head high that they battled to the last minute with all things considered.
