EKFC 09s Gold 2 vs 3 AC Colts

Poor start to the match conceding a goal in the 1st minute. Conceded another in the 12th minute caught out by the long ball over the top. A good response from the boys winning a corner. A cross whipped in by Alfie Hall knocked in at the second time of asking by Alfie McCrae. Another long ball over the top again caught the defence napping, a last ditch tackle by Mark managed to clear the ball for a corner. Another goal from AC Colts just before half time saw the boys go in at half time 3-1 down.

A spirited comeback in the second half saw us create plenty of chances. A lovely through ball by Leo after some neat passing play found Alfie McCrae who rounded the keeper before calmly slotting the ball home to score the goal of the game. Dexter came close with a header from a JJ corner. Unfortunately we couldn't quite find an equaliser although on the balance of play it would've been the least we deserved.

A great second half performance from the boys who looked like they eventually got to grips with the grass surface.
