Man Utd Girls Academy 0 vs 4 Egerton FC u11

Egerton's first development game of the season versus Man Utd Girls Academy, a team we knew would be a challenge. With Man Utd having a long pre season and being undefeated they came into the game very confident.

The match was high quality with the girls showing the girls they were not afraid to put a tackle in and were stronger in the opening minutes. Jenson got a kick to the face and ended up with a bloody nose so he had to come off. Theo also received a strong tackle which would have resulted in a red card in open age football so he too had to come off. The first half was a tense affair with both teams playing some good football. It wasn't until the latter stages of the first half when Wilf Dagley found himself surrounded by 3 Man Utd players, just inside the United half and he scored a fantastic lob over the stranded goalkeeper. 1-0 Half time.

The second half, both teams played some nice football. Jaxon scored a great goal from distance with an unstoppable shot going in off the crossbar. Harry Argent also added 2 goals. One of them a great team goal with Jenson setting free down the wing who crossed it for Harry to then score with a great volley. Harry's hard work also paid off with aggressive pressing against their goalkeeper, who he dispossessed and slotted home from close range.

A solid first game of the season against one of the leagues better sides.
