Dickens Heath started life in division 2 in the same way as they ended last season in division 3 - a home fixture against Kitts Green Dynamos.
Heath looked bright from the first minute and had the bulk of posession throughout the first half. Unfortunately, despite several chances to take the lead the half ended 0-0
After the break Kitts Green started the brighter and Heath had to soak up a fair bit of pressure in the opening 10 minutes. Against the run of play, some good passing football ended with Aidan Hearfield slotting home for his first of the season to give Heath the lead.
Dickens Heath grew in to the game from there on and created several more good chances before being awarded a free kick about 25 yards out from the Kitts Green goal. Jack McEvoy guided the ball around the wall and in to the bottom corner to double the lead.
An all around good team performance to gain 3 points on our first fixture in division 2.
