A below par first half performance left Cowie too much to do in the 2nd half as they exited the Premier Trophy at the first stage.

Going down a goal inside 2 minutes when a simple free kick wasn't defended well, it got worse in the 20th minute as Cowie gave the ball away on the edge of the box from a goal kick and left the St Laurence striker with a tap in.

Another gift in the 38th minute when again the ball was given away at the back and the St Laurence striker ran through to make it 3-0.

2nd half started better when GRAY shot home from the edge of the box, this gave Cowie hope and the ball was mainly in the St Laurence half for the rest of the game, Cowie thought they'd got another goal back in 75th minute when Mantas shot, the ball looked clearly over the line but the ref had a better view from 40 yards away and didn't give the goal.

2nd goal came in the 89th minute when McDONALD headed in following up his own shot, and despite a couple more half chances Cowie couldn't force the equaliser.

Simply gave ourselves too much to do with 3 absolute gifts of goals in the 1st half as St Laurence took full advantage.
