Cowie Thistle 6 - 0 St Laurence

Cowie put in their best performance of the season so far with a comfortable victory over St Laurence tonight.

Dominating from the start, Cowie had an early goal disallowed before opening the scoring in 15 minutes when SALMOND met a Cran cross and headed across the keeper for 1-0.

5 minutes later it was 2-0 when McDONALD finished low with the aid of a slight deflection and the same player made it 3-0 after half an hour after good work by Mutly and Salmond put him through.

4-0 came a couple minutes later and was the pick of the goals as CRAN finished a blocked Gray shot with a rocket into the top corner.

The 2nd half was a case of how many Cowie could score as St Laurence barely threatened, BUCK made it 5-0 after 50 minutes with a near post header and McDONALD completed the scoring with a penalty for his hat-trick. Only the woodwork and good goalkeeping prevented it being alot more.

A fourth win in a row and a fourth clean sheet, but proving much more clinical in front of goal this week compared to previous games, sets things up nicely for Saturdays top of the table game v Kincorth.
