Cowie moved up to 2nd in the table with a convincing win today over a poor RGU side.

After last weeks quick start it was the same again this week when Cowie were 2-0 up after 15 minutes when Stevie Nicoll scored into the top corner and then Smithy scored low through a crowd of players.

Cowie then seemed to stop playing ans allowed the students back into the game without them ever threatening too seriously but Cowie still managed to score a 3rd before half time when a superb through ball from Duguid found Irv who ran through and beat the keeper.

Cowie made some early changes at the start of the second half and it was 2 subs who combined for the 4th when a corner from Cran was volleyed home by Watson.

RGU scored a consolation almost straight after this to spoil the clean sheet, but Cowie added two further goals when Lovick beat two defenders and the keeper to score despite the efforts of the defender to clear on the line then in the last minute Irv scored into the top corner to seal a comfortable victory.

A 6th straight win for the team and another excellent team performance, important to get the 3 points with the league games taking a break now for a couple of weeks for cup competitions.
