Cowie left it late before picking up 3 important points today against Newtonhill.

Cowie started strong but couldnt break through an organised Newtonhill defence, with there being very few chances for either team in the first half, mainly due to the ref giving 2000 fouls and stopping the match every 2 minutes.

Into the second and Cowie continued to search for the opening goal, but again were finding it hard to break through, with the very rare sight of a full bench Cowie made the changes to try get the goal, but had keeper Jarvie to thank for 2 really good saves to keep the score at 0-0.

The winner came in the 80th minute though when a Lovick flick on was missed by the defender and McDONALD reacted quickest and finished past the keeper at the near post.

Cowie had a couple late chances to add to the scoreline but couldn't add to the scoreline but held on for a 1-0 win.

Vital to get 3 points today witb a big week ahead as we face Cove (A) on Monday evening and Rattrays XI (H) on Wednesday.
