Cowie made it 2 wins from 2 with a convincing win over Newtonhill tonight.

Cowie got off to the worst possible start conceding a penalty after 3 minutes which was converted. The team fought back well though and within 10 minutes were 2-1 up thanks to goals from Lovick and Gandhi

Cowie were awarded a penalty of their own after half an hour when Smithy was fouled in the box and Irv made it 3-1 at half time.

5 minutes after the restart Cowie were 5-1 up with a 2nd for Gandhi and then Smithy scoring his first for the club with a spectacular lob from distance.

Newtonhill got one back with 20 to play but they never looked dangerous as Cowie eased off and made 5 subs and it was one of these subs that made it 6-2 with 2 minutes to play when veteran Watson scored a long range shot into the bottom corner.

Newtonhill pulled another goal back in injury time but this was an impressive performance from the home side, recovering from an early set back and going on to dominate the game.
