Cowie Thistle 1 - 3 Kincorth

A 2nd league defeat today as Kincorth took their chances in a closely fought game.

The first half was fairly even with both teams having half chances but it was goalless at half time.

The first goal of the game came in the 52 minute when a cross down the left shouldn't of been allowed to come in and the ball fell to the Kincorth striker on edge of the box and he volleyed into the bottom corner.

It was 2-0 less than 10 minutes later as again a ball on the touchline shouldn't t of been allowed to come in and the ball was squared back to the Kincorth player who doubled their lead.

Cowie tried to get back into the game and had a couple more good chances but the Kincorth defence were solid and winning everything in the air,  but Cowie got a goal back in the 80th minute when a cross ball from Shaun was met by SAM who beat the keeper to it for 2-1.

Cowie tried to go for an equaliser in the last 10 but got caught on the break in the last minute as Kincorth went up the park and made it 3-1.

A much improved performance from Wednesdays shocker but a tough lesson on taking your chances against top teams when they come as credit to Kincorth they did that, they won't be far away from the top of league at end of the season.
