A comfortable victory for Cowie today in this 1st round North of Scotland tie.

With all the heavy rain on Friday and overnight it was a surprise the pitch was in such a good condition as the game got underway.

It was relatively one way traffic all game and Cowie took the lead in 13 minutes when a strike from Badger at the edge of the box took the slightest of touches off C WATSON for 1-0.

2-0 in 22 minutes when a corner from Cran was headed home at the back post by VALENTINE, then a minute later it was 3-0 when IRV ran onto a flick from A Cozzy and beat the keeper with a low shot.

Into the second half and Cowie made it 4-0 when C WATSON volleyed home a Cran corner, no doubt that this goal was his.

Goal of the game came in the 67th minute when BADGER met a clearance from the defender first time on the volley from outside the box and gave the keeper no chance as the ball flew into the net.

The scoring was completed in the 75th minute when a cut back from A Cozzy was bundled over the line by the defender for an own goal and 6-0.

A straightforward victory, with the defence marshalled by Alan “The Market” Craig having very little to do throughout the game.

Credit to Kemnay Youth who battled well to the end to try keep the score down, all the best for the rest of the season.
