Cowie made it 4 straight wins in the league with a close victory over Insch.

Cowie should’ve been out of sight in the first 20 minutes when again clear chances were missed and only had a Fowler goal to show for their efforts. Insch equalised 5 minutes before half time when a corner evaded everyone and Lovick expertly knocked the ball into his own net

Cowie went straight up the park and scored though when a through ball fell to Irv’s feet and he slotted it past the keeper for 2-1 at half time.

2nd half Cowie didn’t really turn up but did what they had to, scoring a 3rd through McDonald who scored the rebound after his initial penalty was saved, Insch pulled one back with 10 to go when a free kick wasn’t defended properly and they pushed for an equaliser but some solid defending meant no further scoring.

Not Cowie’s best performance by a long long way but still good enough to get the 3 points tonight.
